Completed Projects
Here are a few of the neighborhood improvement projects that Sunset Neighborhood Association has implemented.
Sunset Neighborhood signs
The SNA commissioned the design of several signs that have been placed at several of the neighborhood entrances to let people know they are in the Sunset Neighborhood. This project was completed in collaboration with ACHD.
Sunset park picnic shelter
In partnership with the City of Boise, we installed a shelter over the existing picnic area in Sunset Park. The picnic shelter make this popular gathering spot more usable year-round for our neighborhood, especially during the hot summer months when shade is at a premium in the park. This project was completed in 2018 with funding from the City of Boise's Energize Your Neighborhood program.
sunset park bike repair station
In partnership with the City of Boise, we have installed a bicycle repair station in Sunset Park to improve the viability of alternative transportation in the community. The project was completed in 2018 with funding from the City of Boise's Energize Your Neighborhood program.
Sunset Park micro-path
This path starts at Albertson's and leads all the whole way to Sunset Park along 34th Street. The section between 34th and 35th on Anderson has been paved and bollards have been installed. This area will be landscaped and have lighting installed to make it friendlier and safer for pedestrians and cyclists to use in the evenings. This project was funded by ACHD, the City of Boise's Energize Your Neighborhoods program and volunteer time/labor.
